General Production Worker - Machine Operator

This role supports a high-volume manufacturing facility that produces brake drums, with a primary focus on performing production-level tasks in the quality area. You will contribute directly to the production of parts by assisting with operating machines, loading and unloading parts, sand blasting and grinding, assembly, and packaging, and quality inspection activities while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform production-level work in the quality area, including handling and processing brake drum components according to established procedures.
  • Assist with general production tasks such as assembly, packaging, and inspection of parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Carry out general labor duties, including moving materials, organizing workstations, and supporting continuous production flow.
  • Inspect products visually and through basic measurement or checks to identify defects or nonconformities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while working in a hot and dirty manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may affect product quality or production output.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to perform general production and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with assembly, packaging, and inspection work.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a hot and dirty manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime when required.
  • Capability to follow instructions, procedures, and quality standards consistently.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks as part of production work.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in quality-focused production work, such as inspection using micrometers, calipers, tape measure or basic quality check procedures.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, shift-based production facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
