Job Summary

Packaging Technician – Opella Consumer Healthcare. Join a team that turns ideas into products that reach hands and homes while supporting our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain production lines to ensure safety, quality, and output.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and propose simpler, smarter solutions.
  • Use tools to disassemble and reassemble machinery as needed.
  • Prepare packaging lines for various products, ensuring all components are correctly set up.
  • Provide packaging supplies and bulk products to maintain smooth operations.
  • Monitor product quality and reject any materials or packages that do not meet FDA‑cGMP standards.
  • Document and maintain proper fill levels according to product specifications.
  • Operate lines following Set‑Up Sheets, SPIs, SOPs, and other procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, report hazards, and continuously develop skills to comply with FDA and cGMP requirements.
  • Collaborate with a supportive, outcome‑focused team.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production, including operating high‑speed packaging or assembly equipment, start‑ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Proficiency in operating various packaging machinery and tools, such as lift trucks, tape machines, fillers, cappers, labelers, and bundlers.
  • Physical ability to lift 25–60 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and demonstrate coordination, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to comply with dress code regulations, undergo required training, and work in environments with exposure to product, dust, grease, and machinery hazards.
  • Compensation & Benefits

    The hourly rate starts at $20.62. Compensation is commensurate with experience, and employees may be eligible to participate in company benefit programs.
