Processing Technician – Opella
Opella simplifies self‑care for real people. As a Processing Technician you will support our mission by manufacturing bulk blend products and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and in compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain production lines, ensuring safety, quality and output.
- Troubleshoot equipment and propose improvements to keep processes running smoothly.
- Provide early ownership and training to build skills and confidence.
- Support sustainability goals by reducing waste and protecting people and the planet.
- Work as part of a radically simple, supportive, outcome‑focused team.
- Ensure accurate measurement of raw materials to produce finished bulk products according to specific formulations.
- Operate various equipment – mills, grinders, conveyors, mixers, tableting presses – to create tablets, ointments, creams, liquids and powders.
- Monitor the manufacturing process and implement control factors to keep production within acceptable limits.
- Maintain detailed production records and follow step‑by‑step procedures to complete production orders efficiently.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized and well‑maintained.
- Ensure a safe work environment, report hazards and continuously develop skills to comply with FDA and cGMP requirements.
- Education
:
High School Diploma or GED. - Experience
:
Manufacturing and production experience, including operating high‑speed packaging or assembly equipment, start‑ups, shutdowns and changeovers. - Technical Competencies
:
Proficiency with packaging machinery and tools such as lift trucks, tape machines, fillers, cappers, labelers and bundlers. - Physical Ability
:
Capable of lifting 25–60 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and demonstrating exceptional coordination, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. - Special Requirements
:
Compliance with dress code regulations, willingness to undergo necessary training, and work in conditions with exposure to product, dust, grease and packing machinery hazards. - Hourly rate for this position starts at $21.62; compensation commensurate with demonstrated experience and eligible for company benefit programs.
