Job Overview

Manufacturing Technician II – Chattanooga, TN – responsible for producing medical device tubing and ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture medical device tubing per specifications, including startup and shutdown of filmcast, wire drawing, and braiding equipment.
  • Clean work area, equipment, and tooling thoroughly.
  • Read, follow, and accurately complete all provided documentation (product drawings, work procedures, process logs, etc.).
  • Inspect product per specifications using specified measuring equipment.
  • Leverage previous methods, processes, equipment, and tooling to address new process and equipment challenges.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) including line clearance, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing.
  • Streamline processes to meet manufacturing build time, cost, and yield targets.
  • Generate clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standards.
  • Train other skilled technicians/operators in manufacturing techniques, inspection methods, and required documentation.
  • Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and modify work shift as needed by business conditions.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Prior filmcast and braiding experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex process, equipment, and tooling issues.
  • Extremely hands‑on with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional attitude, team player.
Additional Requirements
  • Perform work tasks at elevated height.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 500 lbs assisted.
  • Ability to work 3rd Shift.
  • Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred, but not required.
