Weekend shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours of work (6:30pm to 7:00am)
Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a minimum of five (5) years of experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with Mazak and/or FANUC controls and be proficient in operating machining centers, turning centers, and bridge mills to manufacture precision components that meet customer specifications and industry quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including machining centers, turning centers, and bridge mills with minimal supervision.
- Manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Measure components, raw materials, and finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining and process issues to maintain productivity and quality.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and machining best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools independently.
- Experience with Mazak and/or FANUC control systems.
- Strong knowledge of machining centers, turning centers, and CNC bridge mills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical sketches.
- Proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Working knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
- Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts related to machining and part manufacturing.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
