Industrial Maintenance Technician
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Temp-to-Hire
Starting Pay: $27.02/Hour
$0.75/Hour Shift Differential for Off-Shift
Night Shift: Sunday–Thursday, starting at 7:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM —
Day Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM —
Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and/or weekends required as needed.
Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, PLCs, and 480 VAC 3-phase systems
.
- Inspect machinery and equipment for defects and maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
- Maintain current working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic presses, robots, assembly machines, boilers, compressors, water softeners, and other plant equipment.
- Identify equipment problems and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Use electrical meters for troubleshooting.
- Perform welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, soldering, and brazing as needed.
- Transport materials and components using hand trucks or forklifts when required.
- Maintain work areas according to 5S standards
. - Handle major repairs and coordinate with outside contractors when necessary.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Must provide own tools.
- Experience with:
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Boilers
- Robotics
- PLC programming
- 480 VAC 3-phase electrical systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and documentation.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
