This position exists to serve Scenic Community Credit Union members by representing the Credit Union to the community in a positive manner while promoting the benefits of membership. The Marketing Specialist will also promote the credit union movement and financial education, reinforcing SCCU’s mission statement: “We advance financial peace of mind within our community.” Works closely with the Director of Marketing and Executive Leadership team to bring campaigns to life across digital, traditional, and in-branch channels.
The Marketing Specialist is detail-oriented, creative, and data-driven, with a strong focus on delivering consistent, member centric messaging.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with development, implementation, and analysis of marketing promotions. Utilize a variety of computer applications in the design and implementation of marketing materials.Assist with the development and implementation of the overall marketing plan.Creation of graphics for marketing materials and messages, both print and electronic, including quarterly statements, website and mobile messages, and any other ongoing promotions.Ensure the Credit Union stays compliant with all aspects of marketing regulations and guidelines as set forth by various government regulators and agencies.Represent the Credit Union at community events and civic functions.Ensure the Credit Union brand is being used consistently at each branch office, including TVs, outdoor signs, and ATMs.Be a point of contact for advertising vendors. Manage vendor relationships and contracts for the production of marketing materials.Be an administrator of the Credit Union website to update and deploy rate changes, notifications, fresh content, and any other ongoing promotions.Create blogs, social media posts, emails, podcasts, videos and other content on topics related to content calendar.Promotion of financial education among members and the community.Make suggestions and recommendations to manager for ways the Credit Union can promote SCCU membership within the community.Support in-house photography and video efforts, including coordination, asset organization, and basic production support.Be a point of contact for Credit Union supported vendors, such as Tru Stage and Love My Credit Union paid incentive programs.Assist with maintaining a master calendar of events and update as necessary. Responsible for making sure other departments are aware of upcoming events and any staff that may be needed to participate.Create, launch, and monitor results of digital campaigns including email and google ads.Be familiar with the job duties of the Administrative Assistant and assist when needed.Track campaign performance and assist with reporting on key marketing metrics and KPIs.Assist with maintaining tagging strategies and reporting dashboards as directed.In addition to the aforementioned duties and responsibilities, any and all duties and responsibilities assigned by management that may be deemed necessary or needed in the promotion and continuance of the Credit Union and are job related.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft suite, Canva, Google Analytics, SEO, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Market research experience.
- Must be highly self-directed with the ability to manage priorities and execute with limited guidance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role preferred.
- Comfortable using UTM parameters and analytics tools to track, analyze, and optimize campaign performance.
