Position SummaryMcCallie School seeks a creative, collaborative, and highly responsive Content Creator to support the Development team during the $300 million McCallie For Life campaign. This position is embedded within the Development department and works in close partnership with the Marketing and Communications department. The Content Creator produces timely, high‑quality written, video, digital and visual content that supports fundraising and engagement priorities, equips gift officers and campaign volunteers, and helps donors understand the vision, momentum, impact and joys of generosity s role is ideal for a strong storyteller who can move quickly from idea to execution while working within established brand guidelines and approval processes.
This position plays a critical role in supporting Philanthropy and Engagement efforts with thoughtful and inspiring donor‑centered content, while allowing Marketing and Communications to remain focused on broader institutional storytelling. This is a year‑round, 12‑month, full‑time, exempt position eligible for full benefits.
- Key Function #1 – Development & Campaign Content:
- Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and Philanthropy team to create donor‑centered content in support of campaign, major gifts, annual giving, and stewardship efforts.
- Conceive, create and produce feature stories, short‑form impact pieces, blurbs, talking points, proposals, videos and digital assets tailored to donor and affinity groups.
- Translate campaign initiatives, institutional priorities, and constituent stories into clear, compelling narratives.
- Conduct interviews with faculty, students, alumni, parents, and donors to surface authentic stories of impact.
- Develop constituent and donor profile stories (alumni, parents, and supporters) for use across written, visual, and multimedia formats.
- Key Function #2 – Design & Asset Creation:
- Produce basic design assets to support Development needs, including one‑pagers, campaign collateral, invitations, presentations, videos, and digital graphics.
- Adapt content for print and digital use while adhering to established brand standards.
- Coordinate with Marketing/Communications to ensure alignment without duplicating efforts.
- Create and adapt visual storytelling assets including photography selection, basic video content, and graphic treatments to complement written donor and constituent stories.
- Key Function #3 – Collaboration & Internal Partnership:
- Work closely with Philanthropy and Engagement teams to support engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to share content, insights, and assets as appropriate.
- Serve as a Development‑facing content partner, helping ensure stories and information gathered are effectively utilized to move fundraising goals forward.
- Partner closely with the Communications Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of Development content across email, print, video, and audio channels (including podcasts), in alignment with campaign priorities.
- Coordinate content timelines, drafts, and approvals to support efficient production and distribution.
- Ability to create, produce, and write for donor and fundraising audiences.
- Aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Collaborative, service‑oriented mindset with a clear understanding of internal roles and boundaries.

- Ability to listen well, synthesize information, and translate it into compelling donor‑facing content.
