Clinical Coordinator II - General Pediatrics
Job Summary: The Clinical Coordinator II reports to a Regional Manager and is a credentialed Certified LPN employed by Erlanger Health System. The Clinical Coordinator II is responsible for supervision of all clinical staff members in an Erlanger-owned physician practice and oversees various clinical and patient flow activities of the physician office, including scheduling, hiring, termination, and disciplinary action for all clinical personnel.
The position also provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of practice physicians, works with resident physicians to promote an effective learning environment, and manages financial and cost-effective supplies and medication stocking.
- Supervise all patient triaging functions
- Serve as lead OSHA representative
- Maintain Joint Commission/DNV compliance standards, including quarterly auditing reports
- Collaborate with Service Line Regional Manager to establish yearly clinical budgets
- Manage the financial and cost-effective stocking of clinical supplies, medications, and equipment
- Maintain appropriate charge levels for patient evaluation encounters, outpatient procedures, injections, administration fees, and medical supply charges
- Support general practice operations in collaboration with Physician Practice Supervisor
- Maintain patient confidentiality in all phases of clinical care
- Coordinate patient care for patients and provide training and support for families and caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change
Required: Graduate from an Accredited School of Practical Nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
ExperienceRequired: Minimum three years experience in a physician office setting, previous experience with residency program operations, prior computer experience, two years supervisory experience, and experience or training with IV sedation.
Preferred: Previous experience in an orthopaedic office or setting.
Licensing & CertificationRequired: Valid license to practice as a Practical Nurse registered in the State of Tennessee. BLS completion required prior to employment and ongoing maintenance.
