Overview
As an Oncology RN, you will effectively collaborate with physicians, other registered nurses, specialized departments, and community resources to provide patients with the education and resources needed to build a comprehensive care plan, particularly at discharge.
Every day, you will build trust through compassionate interactions, utilizing your critical thinking skills to recognize that each patient requires a custom care plan tailored to their unique oncology journey. You will actively support patients by identifying and working to remove patient care barriers that could impede their healing and recovery. To be successful in this role, your talent for creative thinking will be vital, shining through as you develop enhanced discharge plans and case management strategies that yield optimal outcomes for each oncology patient.
ResponsibilitiesJob Summary And Responsibilities:

- Required
Education & Experience:- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Program
- Preferred
Education & Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Equivalent or Higher
- Required Licensure &
Certifications:- Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS
- Preferred Licensure &
Certifications:- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association PALS
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficient in necessary nursing procedures (Including medication administration, wound care, ECG interpretation (basic), and patient assessment).
- Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
