Job Summary and Qualifications

The Food & Nutrition Cook will be an experienced and competent professional who is responsible for enhanced preparation, cleanliness, and organization of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role will provide excellent customer service to all patients and employees.

What you will do in this role:

You will demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.

You will integrate ethics in all areas of practice.

You will adhere to confidentiality and patients rights policies.

You will support the facilities mission and values.

You will prepare food per recipe specifications for daily use on the patient line, retail areas, doctors lounge, or for catered events.

You will read production sheets and forecasts production needs.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Degree / Equivalent1 year of cooking experience preferred

Food Handlers or Serv Safe Certificate within 90 days of hire Benefits

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures.

We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
