Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department (ER)

Job Type: Full-Time Night. $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus available to well qualified applicants. Shift: 3x12 (7p‑7a), rotating weekend.

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plans of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days;
  Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 90 days; STABLE certification within 90 days;
  Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months;
  Trauma Nursing Core Certification (TNCC) preferred;
  Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENPC) preferred.
• Required Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Licenses:
  Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed RN from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
