At DDA, we are responsible for administration and oversight of services and supports for more than 1.5 million older adults and Tennesseans with disabilities.

Job Overview

Provides nursing care and procedures according to physician orders and nursing protocol. Performs initial and ongoing assessments according to protocol. Documents, completes, and maintains patient health and medication records. Makes adjustments to the plan of care including changes to the patient's goals and nursing interventions. Explains tests, procedures, and results to appropriate individuals according to protocol. Communicates with both internal and external entities.

Educates the health care plan to patient, family, individuals, groups, and others as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Administering medication, evaluating side effects and the overall effectiveness of medications. Maintaining health care equipment and supplies. Performing basic life support, and CPR. Assist with people supported doctors appointments and community outings.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Currently Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
