Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Document all nursing activities, observations, and patient responses accurately.
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of obstetric protocols and hospital policies.
