Registered Nurse - Cardiac Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Shift: 7:00AM - 7:00PM, with equivalent of every other weekend required.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The nurse will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bedside and hourly rounding to enhance patient experience.
• Manage telemetry application and respond promptly to alarms.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Perform procedures as required, including chest tube and wound vac management, and EKGs.
• Document patient care and telemetry information meticulously in Meditech-HCA version.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, hospitalists, and charge nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN licensure and certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Cardiac knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in telemetry and cardiac care environments is highly desirable.
