Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Medical Surgical Nurse

Providing specialized nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and quality treatment. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IV starts, and wound care procedures accurately.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to abnormal findings.
• Document patient information accurately using the editech system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Float between units as needed and participate in holiday and weekend rotations.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of med-surg nursing experience.
• Proficiency in IV starts, NGT placement, and wound care.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and perform lab draws.
• BLS certification mandatory; additional certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
