Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical
Location:
Chattanooga, TN
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit with 30 beds. This role plays a critical part in the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to enhance patient experience and health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical-surgical needs.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and implement care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology for patient management.
- Ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
- Participate in unit-based activities and maintain compliance with policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical unit preferred.
- Advanced skills in managing patients with respiratory, renal, and GI conditions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
