Lookout Valley Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to lead operations at our established small animal veterinary hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee
.
This Veterinary Hospital Manager position is ideal for a leader with strong knowledge of veterinary medicine workflows, hospital financial management, and team development within a companion animal general practice.

Hospital
Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (2nd & 4th Saturdays)

As Practice Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the clinic while leading with empathy, clarity, and a focus on connection. You’ll help us continue building a culture that prioritizes team well-being

- Build and retain a high-performing veterinary team
- Provide structured coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and emotional intelligence
- Reduce burnout through efficient workflows and staffing models
- Partner with the Medical Director and Regional support on hospital strategy and case support
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, compliance, and vendor management
- Maintain inventory control and cost management
- Ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance
- Optimize appointment flow and client experience
- Manage P&L performance and hospital budgets
- Monitor KPIs (revenue, transactions, labor %, inventory %)
- Identify growth opportunities in dentistry, surgery, wellness plans, and preventive care
- Implement strategic initiatives to increase client retention and new client acquisition
- Partner with business and operational support teams at Innovetive Petcare
- Support elevated client communication standards
- Resolve escalated concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Represent the hospital within the Chattanooga community
Required:
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in a veterinary hospital, specialty/ER, or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of small animal veterinary workflows
- Experience managing veterinary support staff
- Budgeting, P&L, and KPI management experience
- Familiarity with PIMS systems (Cornerstone, ezyVet, Avimark, etc.)
Preferred:
- CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification
- Multi-doctor veterinary practice experience
- Demonstrated revenue growth and team retention success
- Experience scaling or revitalizing a companion animal hospital

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually (commensurate with experience) + 🎯 Annual Performance Bonus (individual + hospital performance)
