Overview

West Star Aviation, LLC specializes in delivering high-quality aviation services, including airframe and engine repair and maintenance, major modifications, avionics installation and repair, and accessory services. The company is well-known for its expertise in interior refurbishment, aircraft painting, parts, and surplus avionics sales. Additionally, West Star Aviation provides comprehensive Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quality Control Manager stationed in Chattanooga, TN. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality assurance and safety standards of aviation projects. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating audits, inspecting repair work, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, managing quality processes, and developing continuous improvement protocols. The manager will work closely with teams to ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in Quality Control processes, inspection techniques, and compliance methodologies.
  • Strong background in aviation maintenance, airframe and engine repair, and modification practices.
  • Experience in team leadership, staff training, and fostering a culture of quality and safety.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations and industry quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and partners at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance software and documentation tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an aviation maintenance or quality control leadership role is an advantage.
