Falcon, Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift - 1064

Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am. The shift incentive includes a 10% - 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

• Maintain West Star Aviation’s quality standards by inspecting technician’s work, performing “ok to close”, and auditing.
• Ensure proper sign‑offs in Corridor as part of the inspection process.
• Participate in daily review meetings.
• Assist with airframe inspections.
• Follow up with all departments to get steps signed off, inspected, and closed so airframe squawks can be completed.
• Help manage the Equipment Removal and Installation Log.
• Assist QA Department with log research issues to clear items in question.
• Daily contact with aircraft team leaders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain customer‑oriented work habits.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English.
• Perform any other job‑related duties assigned by supervisor or management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P license or Repairman Certificate required.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) rating recommended.
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel or a valid passport ideal, but not required.

• Familiar with all facets of manuals required to maintain aircraft.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations.
• Three years turbine aircraft inspection experience with return‑to‑service authority required.
• Customer service experience recommended.
• Follow all company rules and FAA regulations during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer‑oriented work habits for oneself and the department.

• Team player, self‑motivated, fast‑paced environment, able to meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented, accurate, clear written and verbal communication.
• Attend work every day as scheduled including overtime and weekend assignments.
• Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Enter data with high degree of accuracy.
• Coordinate projects and maintain schedules as required.
• Communicate effectively with management and personnel on all data needs.
• Maintain work order system current.

• Physical: lift and carry at least 25 lbs; bend, reach and stoop around aircraft; sit at desk and/or computer for extended intervals; routine walking.
• Mental: prioritize and control workload; work with others professionally; support Quality Department with interpretation and communication of regulations.

• Work with minimal supervision.
• Majority of work performed in hangar environment that may be hot or cold. Occasional outside hangar work may occur.

• Computer systems including Corridor Aviation Service software, personal computers with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and various other programs.
