As a Weld Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for quality and safety. You will be responsible for inspecting welds according to AWS/ASME codes and customer specifications, performing ultrasonic testing, and supporting production teams in resolving defects. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement and ensure our products meet stringent industry requirements.
Key responsibilities include:- Inspect welds to AWS/ASME codes and project specifications
- Perform and document weld inspections, including ultrasonic testing (UT) examinations; interpret indications and report results
- Review welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR) and verify welder qualifications
- Conduct & maintain inspection records, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and traceability documentation
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve weld defects and support rework/repair activities
- Experience reviewing WPS/PQR documentation and verifying welder qualifications
- Experience maintaining weld inspection documentation, including inspection records, NCRs, and traceability documentation
- NDT certification or documented qualification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as needed to access welds
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
