Role Description

This is a full‑time hybrid position for an Area Sales Representative based in the Greater Chattanooga area, with the flexibility to work both onsite and from home as needed. The Area Sales Representative will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, promoting and selling Colonial Life's financial protection benefits, and ensuring effective communication with employers and employees. Additional responsibilities include conducting presentations, training sessions, and managing the enrollment process to achieve individual and team sales targets.

Qualifications
  • Sales and negotiation skills with proven experience in business development or sales roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationship building and client engagement
  • Organizational and planning abilities to manage schedules, client interactions, and sales goals
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities to address client needs and challenges
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and technology, such as CRM platforms and virtual communication software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in the insurance or employee benefits industry is an advantage
