Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager – Rheumatology

Primary focus:
Representing KRYSTEXXA to physicians and health‑care professionals, establishing product sales, and performing comprehensive territory account management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
  • Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a fair and ethical manner consistent with industry and corporate legal guidelines.
  • Address access, pull‑through, and reimbursement issues by coordinating with stakeholders and matrix team members.
  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and communicating them to internal teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
  • Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed.
  • Drive product demand through disease‑state and product education.
  • Provide feedback to leadership, colleagues, and internal departments on market changes and results.
  • Adhere to company compliance policies, including the PhRMA code.
  • Collaborate closely with patient services and market access teams to achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate account and field team activities to support full range of account needs.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site‑of‑care options.
  • Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
  • Manage promotional and operational budgets.
  • Maximize use of approved resources to reach territory and account goals.
  • Complete all company training classes successfully.
  • Finish administrative duties accurately and promptly.
  • Act as a contributing member of a high‑performance team.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the company.
What We Expect Of You

The Specialty Account Manager should be a motivated professional with the following qualifications.

Basic Qualifications – Account Manager Level 4
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales.
  • OR Associate degree and 6+ years of sales experience in the same fields.
  • OR High school diploma/GED and 8+ years of sales experience in the same fields.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Account Manager Level 5
  • Doctorate degree and 2+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • OR Master’s degree and 6+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • OR Associate degree and 10+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales experience in rheumatology, nephrology, and/or rare/specialty disease states.
  • Experience with site‑of‑care and reimbursement.
  • Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
  • Pharma account management selling experience, with ability to coordinate across field teams.
  • Approximately 50% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range (U.S.):

  • Account Manager Level 4: $141,767 – $191,803
  • Specialty Account Manager Level 5: $158,931 – $215,025
