Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager – RheumatologyPrimary focus:
Representing KRYSTEXXA to physicians and health‑care professionals, establishing product sales, and performing comprehensive territory account management.
- Develop a comprehensive business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a fair and ethical manner consistent with industry and corporate legal guidelines.
- Address access, pull‑through, and reimbursement issues by coordinating with stakeholders and matrix team members.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and communicating them to internal teams.
- Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed.
- Drive product demand through disease‑state and product education.
- Provide feedback to leadership, colleagues, and internal departments on market changes and results.
- Adhere to company compliance policies, including the PhRMA code.
- Collaborate closely with patient services and market access teams to achieve business goals.
- Coordinate account and field team activities to support full range of account needs.
- Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site‑of‑care options.
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
- Manage promotional and operational budgets.
- Maximize use of approved resources to reach territory and account goals.
- Complete all company training classes successfully.
- Finish administrative duties accurately and promptly.
- Act as a contributing member of a high‑performance team.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the company.
The Specialty Account Manager should be a motivated professional with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications – Account Manager Level 4- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales.
- OR Associate degree and 6+ years of sales experience in the same fields.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8+ years of sales experience in the same fields.
- Doctorate degree and 2+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- OR Master’s degree and 6+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- OR Associate degree and 10+ years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- Sales experience in rheumatology, nephrology, and/or rare/specialty disease states.
- Experience with site‑of‑care and reimbursement.
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
- Pharma account management selling experience, with ability to coordinate across field teams.
- Approximately 50% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professional, proactive demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Annual salary range (U.S.):
- Account Manager Level 4: $141,767 – $191,803
- Specialty Account Manager Level 5: $158,931 – $215,025
