Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist (Chattanooga) Responsibilities
Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, you will participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects. You will learn from experienced staff who mentor you and will pass your knowledge on to others. You will gain valuable experience in soil and groundwater sampling as well as subcontractor oversight, spending about 75% of your time in the field.
You will balance your field work with time spent in the office evaluating and reviewing data, writing reports, preparing project documents, and coordinating logistics for field activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or another closely related field.
- 0-2 years of professional experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to obtain this certification.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Local to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $81,800.00. Within that range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
