Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Medical Center Rounds in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and fire and/or alarm activations, while coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other policy violations.
- Control access at designated points by verifying identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and supporting visitor management processes in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor and report security-related conditions such as unsecured doors, blocked egress routes, suspicious behavior, and unusual activity; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
- Complete detailed reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs to support follow-up and continuity between shifts.
- Provide assistance with way finding and customer service requests, including escorting visitors and staff to approved areas when requested and permitted by site policy.
- Support healthcare de-escalation practices by communicating professionally, maintaining situational awareness, and requesting additional resources when needed.
- Operate site equipment as trained, such as radios, access control systems, and video monitoring tools, and report malfunctions through established channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be willing and able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be willing and able to work in and/or around a hospital morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be willing and able to restrain individuals.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
