Immediate open position available. Paid training at State Minimum Wage.

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Valid Security Officer/Guard License or ability to obtain as required by state licensing authority.
• At least 18 years old.
• 1+ year of security/military/law enforcement experience.
• 2+ years customer service experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns.
• Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials.
• Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
• Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
• Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors).
• Assist visitors and employees professionally.
• Enforce site‑specific Post Orders and security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).

• Ability to perform in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Weekend availability.
• Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break.
• Walk a minimum of 0.5 mile without stopping.
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years verifiable military, law enforcement or security experience.
• 2+ years verifiable customer service experience.

• Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses.
• Tennessee Unarmed Security License preferred.
• Prior Military experience preferred.
• Prior Certified Law Enforcement Officer preferred.
