Security Officer Armed Morning Shift – Chattanooga, TNPosition Type:
Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.99 - $23.08 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, security‑related concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
- Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support the enforcement of site rules, post orders, and applicable government location procedures.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, maintain a professional presence, and prepare clear reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or security‑related observations.
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
