About the Role

Join Bodewell, the official service team of GE Appliances, as an Appliance Care Expert. In this role you will repair and service major household appliances while delivering smart, lasting solutions and customer‑centered support.

• Diagnose and complete in‑home repairs on GE appliances
• Use sound judgment to recommend repair vs replacement based on cost‑effectiveness and customer needs, prioritizing repairs whenever practical
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products, focusing on value‑driven solutions and the best customer experience
• Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertise
• Manage inventory and maintenance of your service vehicle
• Deliver high‑quality service and maintain strong customer satisfaction
• Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and others

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a responsive, professional approach
• Basic computer aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays
• Valid state driver’s license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen
• Willingness to obtain CFC certification within 6 months
• Wear uniform and maintain personal grooming and appearance standards consistent with GE Appliance values
• Self‑directed, solid team player with de‑escalation abilities
• Ability to perform essential functions, including stepping in and out of a van, sitting for extended periods, handling parts that may be hot, cold, or wet, using powered hand tools and occasional vibratory tools, and lifting materials up to 77 lbs while pushing or pulling 70 lbs

• At least 6 months of experience with refrigeration repair
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar customer‑relationship management system
• CFC certification or an associate’s degree in a related field
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and other service information
