HVAC Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure optimal operation of HVAC equipment across diverse property types. • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues (electrical, mechanical, refrigerant-related)
• Handle punch list and turnover HVAC items for apartments, new builds, and property rehabs.
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe repairs or replacements as needed.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication.
• Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all maintenance activities performed.
• Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely in compliance with local codes and regulations.

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, welding, and general equipment repair.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles to facilitate accurate troubleshooting.
• Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or residential properties.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to our Chattanooga service area.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs is a plus.
• Ability to use specialized tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices effectively.
