Are you the technician everyone calls when they can't figure out the problem?
Metro Plumbing, Heating & Air is looking for an experienced HVAC technician to join our team as an HVAC warranty technician. This role is focused on diagnosing and resolving warranty-related issues on recently installed HVAC systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned technician who enjoys troubleshooting, mentoring others, and using their technical knowledge every day without the physical demands of a traditional installation position.
What You'll Do- Respond to warranty and callback requests on newly installed HVAC systems
- Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues
- Verify system performance and installation quality
- Communicate findings and solutions with homeowners professionally
- Document repairs and warranty work accurately
- Help identify trends and opportunities to improve installation quality
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Complete 3–5 warranty calls per day
- Maintain high customer satisfaction
- Accurately diagnose issues on the first visit
- Minimize repeat warranty callbacks
- Complete documentation thoroughly and on time
- Less physically demanding than installation work
- Focus on troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Use your years of technical experience every day
- Consistent schedule and manageable call volume

- Professional communication skills
- EPA Certification preferred

- $30–$40 per hour based on experience
