Field Service Technician; PES

Job Summary

Pepsi Co seeks a skilled technician for installation, repair, and maintenance of vending, cooling, and fountain equipment across primary service locations in Lebanon, TN;
Cookeville, TN;
Crossville, TN; and Albany, KY. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, providing customer support, and performing routine and preventive maintenance. Work may require lifting 20–45 pounds and operating heavy vending machines (800–1200 pounds).

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on vending, cooling, and fountain equipment.
• Unload, reload, and fill equipment with products and manage inventory.
• Install equipment by creating holes, routing lines, and connecting water or gas supplies.
• Prioritize and schedule service and preventive maintenance calls to meet customer windows.
• Travel to client locations, evaluate issues, and perform necessary repairs (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry).
• Collect accurate equipment and customer information and complete job paperwork.
• Remove old parts, replace with new parts, and maintain parts inventory on service truck.
• Build positive relationships with contacts at service calls.
• Transport miscellaneous items such as compressors and recyclables.
• Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

• Minimum age 18 years; 21 years or older if CDL required.
• Valid U.S. CDL license with non‑exempt interstate status (if applicable).
• Pass DOT Physical and DOT Road‑test (if required). Must adhere to DOT regulations.
• Senior technicians required to hold refrigeration certification; must pass Type I/Type II practices (if applicable).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English if CDL required.
• Basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration system experience.
• Experience serving customers and resolving issues.

• Mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Customer service and communication.
• Basic refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.
• Equipment installation (HVAC, refrigeration, etc.).
• Work scheduling and priority setting.
