Job Summary:
Performs day-to-day electrical repairs, preventive maintenance and installations. The position serves as the skilled labor backbone of the electrical team in support of the department; mentoring Tradesman team members on projects and general maintenance.
Core Responsibilities and
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting, receptacles, motors, switches, and panels.
- Performs testing on generators and electrical system in compliance with DNV and code standards
- Performs preventive maintenance and repair on electrical systems and equipment
- Responds to CMMS work orders and performs routine testing and maintenance on assigned systems
- Installs conduit, pulls wire and terminates connections in accordance with code.
- Reads blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings in support of executing electrical work and troubleshooting.
- Works on energy conservation projects including equipment and lighting automation
- Performs electrical tasks in support of Erlanger performed construction projects.
- Trouble shoots motors, motor controls and electrical systems and makes appropriate repairs.
- Performs infrared scans of electrical panels and systems.
- All other electrical duties as assigned.
Education:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Preferred:
Graduate of Industrial Electrical Program from trade school
Experience:
Required:
3 years of experience in heavy commercial maintenance or graduation from Journeyman program. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Preferred: 3 years of healthcare experience
