Installer, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Installation Technician

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm

As an Installer at Architectural Surfaces, you will be responsible for the precise and professional installation of cabinets, tops, and from time-to-time wood trims. Your work will ensure that installations meet both aesthetic and functional standards, contributing to the overall success of construction and renovation projects.

• Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and architectural plans to determine installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials such as cabinet fillers, counter tops, and wood trims to specifications.
• Install products in various settings, ensuring alignment, fit, and finish meet quality standards.
• Help unload trucks and shake out products to the appropriate locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Be able to work overtime as required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in construction or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in wood, cabinet, or similar material installation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to complete out-of-town trips (reimbursement provided for mileage)
• Must have working smart phone for MS Teams use
• Must bring your own woodworking tools including but not limited to a laser level, skill saw, hand drill, etc.

• Experience with installation of commercial cabinetry
• Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their installation requirements.
• Familiarity with safety standards and building codes related to surface installation.

Ability to lift and move materials – Frequently lifting, carrying, or maneuvering panels or sheets of material up to 50 lbs.

Stooping, Standing and Walking majority of shifts.

Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature variations.
