Tennessee American Water and help provide clean, safe, and reliable water service to the community. We are seeking a dedicated Master Mechanic to join our operations team in Chattanooga, TN.

Work Schedule:

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday Opportunity for Overtime.

Maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems in water treatment and pumping facilities.

• Constantly visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Constantly listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Constantly dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Constantly cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Constantly installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as transformers, wiring, electrical or electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Constantly assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Occasionally repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Occasionally sets up and operates machine tools such as grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools. Occasionally operates cutting torch or welding…
