To deliver a virtual assistant that improves week over week—not just at launch—we’re hiring an AI Engineer to build the technical backbone of our evaluation and reporting system. This role will operationalize evaluation at scale: implementing MLflow (or equivalent) tracking, automating experiment runs, standardizing metrics, and turning evaluation data into executive-ready insights that drive decisions. You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, data, and product—ensuring every model/agent change is measurable, traceable, and aligned to member experience outcomes.

To

do that, you’ll need:
  • Strong Python engineering skills and experience building robust pipelines (batch + CI/CD)
  • Experience implementing MLflow and/or experiment tracking, model registry, and artifact/version control
  • Ability to synthesize data into readable reports

Job Responsibilities
  • Ideate, develop and productionalize AI solutions for healthcare payer use cases.
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art AI models and algorithms using Python and GCP Vertex AI.
  • Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities for applying AI techniques to solve business challenges and automate processes.
  • Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, continuously improving our techniques and methodologies.
  • Develop scalable and efficient code base for deploying AI models into production environments.
  • Work closely with our internal Lines-of-Businesses to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable insights and solutions.
  • Lead the evaluation and validation of AI models, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and performance meet business requirements.
  • Communicate findings, results, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and documentation.
Job Qualifications Education
  • Master’sdegree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or related field or equivalent work experience required. Master’s and/or PhD degree a plus.
Experience
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in analytics, technology, or healthcare (academic experience included), or related equivalent experience.
  • 1 year experience with machine learning or advanced statistical methods is required.
  • Experience handling large datasets to build data science pipelines.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Pytorch, Natural Language Processing.
Skills & Certifications
  • Proficient in Python
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel
  • Leadership skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers
  • Be organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic.
