At the Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics (CSMO), our C4 therapy locations are designed for movement, performance, and outcomes. Your Role & Impact
As a full-time Sports Performance Coach at our Chattanooga and Cleveland C4 therapy locations, you'll be an important part of our mission to help clients prepare for final stages of return to sport, improve in athletic pursuits, and enrich their lifestyle through strength, power, mobility, speed, and agility work. You'll deliver evidence-based strength, power, and conditioning for clients including assessing, planning, and implementing performance programs for area athletes and clients in a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and plan clients training programs
- Provide clients with safe, reasonable exercises that can be performed at C4 and at home
- Collaborate with leadership on Performance Training programming
- Speak with area athletes, coaches, parents, and community groups about the goals of the athlete and ways the Center for Performance Training can assist in achieving those goals
- Work with physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers to provide appropriate rehab performance training
- Advise clients about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science:
Health and Exercise Science or equivalent. - BLS (CPR) certification preferred
- One year of experience as a strength and conditioning coach preferred
- Skill in appropriate assessment of athlete's and client's current level of fitness.
- Ability to use equipment appropriately in order to improve strength, power, agility, speed, and stability.
- Develop relationships and market the Sports Performance Program to area coaches, athletes, and parents.
