Job Overview

Full‑time City P&D Driver (CDL

A) at R+L Carriers’ Chattanooga, TN Service Center.

• Start pay: $32.39 per hour

• Shift: Monday‑Friday, various shifts

• Drivers are home every day

• Perform city delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Complete multiple stops per working day, including scanning equipment and direct customer interaction.
• Execute liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack, when required.

• Valid CDL Class
  
  A.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than three moving violations within the past 3 years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if military‑to‑civilian CDL transition meets FMCSA specs).
• Ability to operate equipment safely at all times.
• Pass pre‑employment DOT Physical and drug screen.
• Pass a successful road test.
• Can bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and reliable.

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz‑Mat CDL endorsements.
• Experience hauling Haz‑Mat.
• Local delivery experience.
• LTL experience.
• Electric pallet jack experience.
