Class A Local Flatbed Truck Driver

Position Summary

Class A CDL Truck Driver in Chattanooga, TN. Weekly pay average $1,320. Hourly rate $24.00, 50 hours per week. Paid training. Schedule Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays. Start time 6:00 am dispatch.

  Local home daily, deliver SOLO to surrounding areas
• Tractor type:
  Day cab, must drive manual
• Trailer type:
  Flatbed 48’ or 53’, requires 6 months experience
• Equipment:
  Mounted forklift, requires 1 year+ experience
• Freight:
  Touch‑brick

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including verification from last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical
• Pass Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• • 9 months experience within past 3 years, or
• • 2 years experience within last 5 years, or
• • 5 years experience within last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
