SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, the Inventory Control Specialist compiles and maintains inventory of goods. This role completes cycle count reviews, physical verifications, investigates, and ensures the system matches what is in the warehouse.
JOB DUTIES- Conducts basic investigations to report reasons for discrepancies.
- Maintains inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reports changes as needed.
- Conducts weekly floor-to-sheet and sheet-to-floor audits of inventory.
- Consolidates product throughout the main warehouse.
- Tracks overall cycle progress and results.
- Documents inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removal of items.
- Assists with annual internal audits.
- Provides efficiency recommendations on Inventory Control responsibilities.
- Helps with Inventory Control training for new staff members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Compares the physical counts of inventory against system records to obtain current inventory.
Typically requires a high school diploma or a GED and zero (0) to two (2) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES- Strong detail oriented and follow up skills.
- Works well independently.
Must be able to lift approximately 50lb boxes.
