The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for Psychology Associate to provide mental health services to young people and clinical training and consultation to program personnel at Green Hill School.

The Opportunity:
As a team member within the facility Mental Health Program, you will provide diagnostic evaluation, individual group, therapeutic modeling and coaching within an assigned residential milieu, provide clinical consultation to the living unit staff and team and other stakeholders in support of aftercare services, and facilitate clinical program consultation teams. These functions are performed under the supervision of a licensed doctoral or master's level mental health clinician, within the direction of the JR Clinical Director and facility administration.

Some of what you will do:
* Administer agency-assigned anxiety, depression, and trauma screening and assessment tools, and psycho-social assessments.
* Provide in-person individual counseling based on established standards of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
* Provide targeted treatment, support and staff consultation for individuals on Suicide Precaution Level (SPL).
* Conduct intakes, OWL screens and perform behavioral and functional assessments.
* Develop, implement, and individualize treatment plans.
* Educate and coach young people and consult with staff in creating behavior shaping programs, skill/goal scripts, and individual support programs.
* Co-lead DBT skills training, trauma treatment, family engagement, and other group-based treatment and psychoeducation.
* Coordinate interventions for young people with high-risk behaviors, affective disorder, or who are seen as prone to self-harm behaviors.

Required Qualifications:
A Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited graduate school whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher education.
AND
One year of clinically supervised, post-graduate experience providing treatment services to clients with behavioral health needs and/or justice system involvement.
AND
Clinical licensure or affiliate status within the state of Washington OR eligibility to obtain Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor credential as defined in WAC based on qualifying education and supervised experience in the State of Washington or in another state or federally recognized tribe with equivalent requirements deemed sufficient for probationary or full credentialing (see RCW 18.83.170), as determined by the Washington State Department of Health.

Qualified applicants with extensive relevant experience who are not yet eligible for the Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor credential as defined in WAC may be considered as an in-training employee.
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:
* One year experience providing direct services in a mental health facility or like agency to JR.
* Experience in training and/or providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
* Experience with providing guidance and consultation to para-professional staff in a behavioral health setting.
