Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K12 students in a school district near Chehalis, Washington. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, helping them achieve academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations and assessments using standardized and non-standardized tools
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and administrators
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable)
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support diverse student populations
- Support students with a range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Washington State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (
CCC-SLP
) preferred (CFs encouraged to apply) - Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
