Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and perform only those procedures defined by the supervising Physical Therapist;
Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional tasks, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training;
Observes, records, and reports to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition;
Coordinates care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate;
Educates patient, family, and other health-care team members on therapy within the PTA scope
