Southwest Washington Fair - Ticket Seller

This is a temporary position. The 2026 Southwest Washington Fair takes place August 11-16. In addition to the dates of the fair, applicants must be available on July 15th, 2026, for a hiring event, as well as August 10th, 2026, for a training shift. Shift hours and availability may fluctuate based on business need leading up to, during and after the Fair.

Under limited supervision, assists in welcoming and checking in guests to the Southwest Washington Fair. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Selling tickets to fairgoers at the gate.
• Handling cash.
• Counting cash and preparing deposits at the end of shift.
• Answers questions from fairgoers and gives directions as needed.

Work is performed in and around Lewis County Fairground facilities; subject to sitting, standing, walking.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to speak and write in the English language.

Prior fair experience.

• Work cooperatively with others.
• Work without supervision for periods of time.
• Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Follow instructions.
• Make change.

• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Abides by the rules governing employees of Lewis County.
• Conducts oneself in a manner appropriate for an employee of Lewis County.
• Helpful, friendly and courteous to fair patrons.
