Job Description
Job Summary: The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. The role uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
- Preserve evidence and interact with law enforcement.
- Testify in criminal and civil court actions.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
- Perform job duties in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to self, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
- Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
- Remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.

1. Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation after 6 months; PT will be eligible for 20 hours after 6 months; temporary associates are not eligible for vacation benefits.
2. Sick time (Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma):
Salary and temporary associates earn 1 hour of sick time per 40 hours worked; FT associates earn 1 hour per 40 hours or 4 hours per month (whichever is greater); PT associates earn 1 hour per 40 hours or 2 hours per month (whichever is greater).
Sick time (Seattle):
Salary and temporary associates earn 1 hour per 30 hours worked; FT associates earn 1 hour per 30 hours or 4 hours per month (whichever is greater); PT associates earn 1 hour per 30 hours or 2 hours per month (whichever is greater).
