We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in any of the following office locations:
Chelmsford, MA;
Needham, MA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.
- Directing Tax Seniors, Semi Seniors, and Associates and staff accountants
- Ensuring that assignments are accomplished within the budgeted time
- Interacting with clients to discuss issues with regard to tax information throughout the year
- Developing technical knowledge through participation in organization meetings, training programs, attending industry events and participation in research activities
- Identifying any risk management issues and proposing potential solutions through various research and collaboration
- Conducting research and drawing conclusions in order to address target issues
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
Master's degree in taxation or equivalent preferred - 5+ years of progressive tax preparation, review and supervisory experience
- CPA license is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax software, Pro Systems and CCH
- Technical proficiency in corporate, international, federal, state, and local tax, as well as solid background in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, C Corps, partnerships, and trusts
- Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns
- Ability to manage staff on multiple engagements
- Ability to work in a team environment, supervise staff and lead projects
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates respect for others
Massachusetts salary range: $100,000 - $150,000.
