- Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000
The Onsite Field Service Calibration Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Onsite Department, ensuring calibrations are completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and customer requirements. This role manages scheduling, resources, and documentation while providing technical guidance, supporting customer needs, and driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the Onsite Department, including scheduling technicians, allocating resources, and ensuring readiness of equipment, supplies, and job packages.
- Ensure calibration processes are performed in compliance with Essco and customer procedures, with accurate and timely documentation of all data, results, and scope changes.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to team members; foster knowledge sharing, recommend training and cross-training opportunities, and support workforce development.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Lab, Quality, Sales, and Executive Management, to align goals, address customer needs, and pursue new business opportunities
- Promote effective communication, planning, and coordination within the department and across all stakeholders to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining integrity and adherence to company policies.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to processes, techniques, and instrumentation to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with governing standards, company policies, and safety practices; proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead or participate in team meetings and project initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and supporting department growth.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices, technical advancements, and evolving customer needs.
- Model the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner.
- Ensure training and development plans are in place and communicated to employees to drive performance improvement and career progression.
- Complete and deliver accurate, thorough, and prescriptive employee performance reviews on the required timeline.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of regulations and industry standards for aerospace, life science, and military product lines, with a developed working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Ability to apply statistical methods for evaluating measurement standards, analyzing processes, and recommending improvements to calibration methods, procedures, and instrumentation.
