Summer 2025 Extended School Year Special Education Program - Life Skills Teachers
Teachers needed at Elementary, Middle, and High School levels
Location:
Center Elementary School
Dates:
July 7 - August 7, 2025
Program is Monday through Thursday (no programming on Fridays)
Program
Hours:
7:30 AM to 12:15 PM (4.75 hours/day) 20 days plus 1 prep day before the program starts (4 hrs)
- Qualified candidates will provide specialized instruction in the areas of functional reading, written language, math, social, vocational, and community skills to special education students in order for them to review, practice and maintain previously learned academic skills.
- Monitor student progress to maintain skills from IEP goals and write ESY summaries of performance at the end of the session.
- Plan and maintain a program of instruction individualized to students' IEP goals & objectives.
- Facilitate and support paraprofessionals assigned in the classrooms.

- MA DESE certification as a moderate or severe special education teacher preferred.
- Ability to work all 5 weeks of the program (July 7 - August 7, 2025).
- Note:
All positions are contingent upon the number of students enrolled. - Master degree preferred.
