Field Play Supervisor

Community Education Summerfest Program

Oversee the Field Play events which run for four consecutive Tuesdays, beginning on July 6, 2026, through August 14, 2026 (with built-in rain dates). Hours on the field each week are from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

• Plan field schedule and age‑appropriate activities for each week.
• Attend preseason meetings with Comm Ed staff to discuss the upcoming season.
• Review and brainstorm ways to improve the program.
• Work with the Comm Ed staff to hire coaching staff.
• Train coaching staff; each week you have fifteen minutes with staff before participants arrive. Train staff and have them assist in taking out and putting away equipment.
• Prepare student groups and staff assignments prior to the start of the season.
• Manage the staff to ensure the program is being implemented properly and the staff is paired up to deliver the best program possible for the children.
• Manage the field schedules on Tuesday evenings.
• Interact with parents as needed during Field Play.
• Work with Comm Ed staff to determine weather cancellation calls.
• Manage and transport required equipment to and from Carson Track.
• This position includes light administrative duties.
• Attend a post‑season wrap‑up meeting with Comm Ed staff.
• Perform other duties as required or directed.

Salary: $495 to $495 Stipend

• Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
• Preference for candidates with a Physical Education or Fitness background.
• 1–3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
