Assistant Teacher – Chelmsford, MA
We are seeking passionate educators to support our curriculum and care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years at the newly opened Gardner School campus in Chelmsford, MA.
Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age‑appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Provide nurturing guidance that supports children’s emotional and behavioral development.
- Model the Gardner School core values:
Children First, Trust, Innovation, and Make a Difference. - Maintain respectful and supportive relationships with parents and families.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom by supporting daily routines, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with teaching team members and school leaders to ensure consistency and support across classrooms.
- Uphold a professional, team‑oriented mindset at all times.
- High school diploma (required); EEC certification preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- 1+ years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (required).
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks.
- Physical ability to stand, sit on the floor, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Passion for early childhood education and a nurturing, joyful approach to care.
- Strong communication skills in speaking, hearing, reading, writing, and building relationships.
- Interest in growth within a mission‑driven preschool environment.
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Competitive pay: $19.10–$23.60 per hour, based on education and experience.
