Position:
Interim Special Education Teacher

General Description:
- Design, supervise and implement students’ IEP plans
- Develop curriculum modifications and adaptations
- Participate in IEP Team meetings
- Write effective IEPs for students
- Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress
- Effectively work with a team of professionals to coordinate services
- Consult with general education teacher and related service providers
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies to facilitate inclusion
- Write quarterly progress reports for IEP goals that are data based on student performance
- Administer various diagnostic achievement assessments (WIAT-III, Key Math, GORT 5, etc.) that identify student capabilities as part of initial and reevaluation for students
- Write effective evaluation reports summarizing findings and making recommendations for assigned students

Salary: $61,142 to $114,820 Per Year

General Special Education
- Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in special education from an accredited college or university
- MA DESE Teaching License – PreK-8 Moderate Special Needs license is required
- Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to assure students can access the curriculum
- Ability to effectively consult and work collaboratively with various service providers and support staff
- Solid organizational skills
- Experience with IEP development is required
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
